Go Organic from livestrong.com
Clean=organic Foods
Clean foods refer to those that are natural and unprocessed. Eating clean is for
those who want to eliminate chemicals and processed foods from their diet. Although not necessarily a low-calorie approach to eating, eating clean places an emphasis on the quality of the foods eaten. Sticking to the the basic food groups---fruits and vegetables, meats and whole grains---is at the center of clean eating. However, it is important that these foods be chosen carefully.
Fruits and Vegetables
Fruits and vegetables are an essential part of any diet, but it's important to choose those products carefully. According to Healthy Child Healthy World, most fruits and vegetables contain multiple pesticides even though they do not exceed safety allowances for a dose of a single pesticide. According to Daily Green, if consumers get the recommended five servings of fruits and veggies daily from the 15 most contaminated products, they could ingest up to 10 pesticides in a single day. The Daily Green recommends always buying organic celery, peaches, strawberries, apples, blueberries, nectarines, bell peppers, spinach, kale, cherries, potatoes, grapes, leafy greens, carrots, pears and tomatoes to reduce exposure to these chemicals. It is not necessary to buy organic fruits or vegetables that are peeled, such as bananas or mangoes.
Meat
According to The Daily Green, it is unlikely that most meat products contain pesticide residue. However, some parts of the meats are more likely to contain chemicals than others. In beef and pork, the muscle is the cleanest part; the fats can contain up to 10 different pesticides. In chicken, the thigh is the most contaminated part, so stick to eating only white meat. To ensure your meat is clean, choose meats that come only from animals fed organic feed and given no hormones or antibiotics. The cleanest meats can be found from a butcher, not your local supermarket.
Whole Grains
Clean whole grains include wheat, brown rice, millet and barley. Look for breads that say 100 percent whole wheat or whole grains, not enriched. Enriched breads have been processed, thereby removing many of the nutrients. Other good grain options include oatmeal, muesli and whole-grain cereals.
Healthy Fats
A balanced diet needs a daily dose of healthy fats. Good, clean fats come from foods such as salmon, olive oil, avocados and raw nuts.

Jerry Springer show
Ahhh what a great morning, walked 30 min with Razberry, then 30 min weight training and then one hour of the best Turbo kickboxing class (by Amanda) I have ever done. It was super hard and fast and great music and the sweat was dripping down. Ahhh how nice it was, I cant even explain the great feeling. Before the gym I did not feel the best because I haven't slept well lately, but now I'm back to normal again.
My tip: If you feel down or tired, go and work out really hard and you will feel 100 % better.
Four more days until Tommy comes home, yey. He went to Jerry Springer show today, so I'm waiting to hear how that was. They film that in Stamford Connecticut, so of course he have to go and check that out. I wish I was there so I could of went to, but as we know I'm not. hahaha!
Now i have lots to do the rest of the day, so i better get started.
Hugs Eva

Break in
I hr to the Emmy pre show starts, yeah exciting. I love that kind of stuff, to look at there dresses and hair.
Today I started the day with a 45 minute walk with Razberry in the woods, then I went to my favorite place (Quicktrip) for coffee and a Fiber muffin.
Then I studied for a while, went to the gym for a 12 o clock spinning class, home & talked to my mom, had snacks, mixture of nuts and raisins and ginger (ingefara, good for your intestinal system). Now im here again time to study & then I will do an evening walk with Razmus and Busch. ;-)
We had a break in here on our street yesterday, not fun. Someone broke in to our neighbors car and stole there gps and to there nurse and stole something from her car too. Have to be careful where ever you are, even if it seems peaceful and quiet. I have to say that I'm glad to have the dogs that hear everything, they wake me up for the smallest sound, so that's good.

STRESS BUSTER FOODS from Livestrong.com
STRESS BUSTER FOODS
Almonds are full of vitamin E, an antioxidant that strengthens our immune system, and vitamin B, to keep our body under control during stressful situations. Other nuts, such as pistachios and walnuts, help keep your heart from racing. "We experience immediate cardiovascular responses to stress because of the 'fight or flight' response," says Sheila G. West, M.D., associate professor of biobehavioral health at Penn State. A 2007 Penn State study led by Dr. West demonstrated that eating about a handful of pistachios a day lowers blood pressure, which prevents the heart from overworking.
Avocados are packed with healthy monounsaturated fats and potassium to lower blood pressure. Potassium has been proven as one of the most effective ways to ease high blood pressure. Half an avocado has more potassium than a medium-sized banana.
According to Mary Dallman, Ph.D., a professor of physiology at the University of California, San Francisco, the calcium found in skim milk has been shown to reduce muscle spasms and ease anxiety, mood swings and irritability.
Oatmeal contains carbohydrates that cause the brain to produce higher levels of serotonin. Since oatmeal is high in fiber, it takes longer for your stomach to digest, which translates into a more steady flow of serotonin.
The vitamin C found in oranges also reduces stress, lowers blood pressure and lowers levels of cortisol, a stress hormone. "Vitamin C is also a well-known immune system booster," says Amy Jamieson-Petonic, R.D., a spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association.
Salmon’s omega-3 fatty acids keep cortisol and adrenaline from skyrocketing. Omega-3s have been shown to provide an array of health benefits ranging from protecting against heart disease to preventing cancer. "Eat a three-ounce serving of fish, especially fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, herring, and light tuna, at least twice a week," Jamieson-Petonic says.
Magnesium, found in spinach, lowers stress levels. Not getting enough can cause headaches and fatigue. One cup of spinach contains 40 percent of our daily need for magnesium.

Goals
Had an awesome 3 hr workout this morning. Cardio for 1 hr, weights for about 45 min then kickboxing for one hour and stretching after that. Don't forget to stretch after you work out, its super important...
So my tip today: To be able to reach your big goal, whatever that is, you need to have "SMART" goals, Specific. Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely.
For example what me and my client (who wants to lose weight) decided today, not to eat after 6pm for 3 weeks. Then we will see how that works for him. It is in a specific time frame and it is specific, measurable, realistic and attainable. Its a small step towards the right direction and it is not to much change all at once.
You can do the right things at the gym, but not at home, then a small change in the food department will help a long way. You should not do a lot of changes all at once that are big, because it is very easy that you don't follow them and then you get frustrated and quit. Small changes and small goals toward the big goal is the best.
Oki time to make me a protein drink with banana and then off to the library.

Take down pictures on the wall
Just home from the gym, the car wash and the grocery store and now its time to clean, do laundry and pack a little. Today I'm gonna start taking down the pictures on the walls :-( emotional but :-) happy at the same time. This is our first house and I think that's why its so emotional to leave it, but as long as we get a good place in LA it will all be fine. Did I say that we have the tickets now to go to LA to look at places, so pray that we find something nice and affordable, with a backyard.
Tonight I'm gonna babysit my nephews so we'll see what fun stuff we get into then. Maybe the park or the pool, (tomorrow). We will see what they wanna do!

The countdown has begun, to many things. 15 days until my love comes home and we are celebrating 9 yrs together, 19 days until LA trip, 15 days until I have a very important thing I need to do. Tell you more about that later. A month until my surgery, then its like a month and a half until we move. Im sooo nervous and stressed about it, but it will be for the better. I just hope we get a tenant in our house pretty fast after we moved.
Tommy keeps getting distant location joboffers now, more and more. He can't get back to work until OCT 1st, because we are moving, so hopefully something in LA will come up then. Keep your fingers crossed. Right now I cant wait until sept 3rd at 3pm when he gets home for good from this show.

Phone calls day
Good Morning everybody. I'm home from the gym, today was upperbody and spinning. Now I have to make like a 100 phone calls. I hate when I have so much to do when its not fun stuff to do, i like to do fun stuff all the time :-). I have so many places to call today so I don't know where to start. So I better just start, just wanted to say hi and show my nail polish that I chose yesterday when I did mani/pedicures. Isn't that soo me with a bright colorful color :-) I also went to Starbucks after for a Carmel light frapuccino. Need to have at least one of those per summer. Its only 150 cal in the light frapuccino, but try to stay away from them anyway as much as you can.
Tip today is: Snack on fruit sallad/fruits in btwn meals or when you are just hungry. Instead of grabbing
a candy bar, grab a fruit. Its also good to have when you watch a movie instead of chips.

Weight training
The spinning and weight training went great yesterday. Better than I thought. Today I did legs and back and running before and after that. Now I feel great again, I cant live if I don't workout, I feel really bad and disgusting if I don't. I wonder how this surgery with 6 weeks recovery is gonna go :-(
Tip: To burn the most fat you should do at least 3 weight training sessions per week. You will burn calories even when you don't workout when you work with weights. Aerobic exercises only burns calories when you actually doing it. So start lifting weights! You don't have to lift heavy, but at least a little on the major muscle groups. (back, chest, legs, biceps, triceps, shoulders, abs) You will also help prevent osteoporosis (bone loss), because you're making your bones stronger.

Back to the gym
Its time to get back to the gym to work and then actually workout my self after 3 weeks of vacation from weight training. Well I did some weights lifting in Sweden with my dads weights, and of course tuns of walking. I never stop totally, even on vacation, but its still a vacation from the actual gym. Today I will do an hour of weight lifting then an hour of spinning, I'll let you know how that went later :-)
Tommy is now back on the East coast for the last 18 days of work there, then he will come home and we will go to LA to look at houses there, yeah. I cant wait!
Still hot here, another week of 100F degree temperature.
Oki gotta go.

The heat feels great sometimes
Life feels sooo great sometimes. I have had such a great weekend with my family.
I haven't been to the gym anything, but instead we have walked like 3 times per day in the heat. Guess if we were sweating, but it feels sooooo good to sweat alot.
Here we are on the way to go on our walks. I also bought some Bjorn Borg stuff in Sweden as you can see on the pics when we are playing soccer. I know we have fun with doing small things.

I love my Family
My husband came home yesterday, and im sooo happy to have him home. Its nothing better than be home with the whole family.
I Have been sooo tired and jetlaged, but starting to feel like myself again.
I have only worked out one time since I got home, but monday I have to start again to get back into it. Its hard when you have a break from working out to get back into it, but its just to get started again. No excuses!
Its super hot here in Dallas, like 105F (40C) and thats not my favorite, but it will work for now. Its only 7 weeks left in Dallas, so you can deal with anything for 7 weeks, and it wont be that hot all the time.
I love my family in Sweden and I love to be home with my family here in Dallas. Nothing better than family!
